I am also taking a writing class. So fabulous/overwhelming/distracting. Do you find that you want to work on the class stuff all the time? Also...yes to the earrings. All of these things that I though happened to "older women...."? Um....

HA exactly. I've entered the saggy earring realm of midlife.

What's your writing project? Is the class helping? I like mine - helps to connect with other writers who are slogging (sometimes joyously) through their manuscripts. We've started reading one another's WIP chapters and I find it scary to put it out there but also that makes it real, instead of just living on my laptop.

I'm taking a micro-memoir class, and really enjoying it. I agree with the sense of risk, but also love the reward when I get constructive feedback. As for "writing project" specifically...I am all over the place and working on too many things and keep telling myself one thing at a time. Do I remember that you're working on a novel?
