As I wipe the tears from my eyes, all I can say is that pets should live much much longer than they do. But the time with them is 1000% worth the heartbreak when they go. Much love to you all.
Poor Loopy. My 16 year old boy developed diabetes too, and it was one of life's few blessings that I was working remotely during the pandemic and could take care of him. He actually got to a point where he didn't need Lantus anymore and for a few months was more like his old self. But he was already showing signs of kidney failure and went downhill pretty quickly one long, agonizing week in May. We had to let him rest at last 😿 He was our little guy through many of life's adventures for 15 years and as cheerful and friendly as a dog. It's so weird to be perfectly trained to take care of a pet with diabetes, but so sad to realize that sometimes greater forces (in his case, likely some form of lymphoma or liver cancer) take hold. 🫂💙
Oh I'm sorry for your DWD (doggie with diabetes). And you're so right about being "trained" to deal with certain aspects of this but totally not in others. <3

🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛ love you, K
So sorry for your loss. Loopy was a well loved part of the family and her appearances in your writing will always bring a smile to my face.
I feel so sad for you and your family. I am really sorry your Loopy is gone. Rest in peace and comfort Loopy.🕊️
Thank you, Donna. <3
I’m so sorry 😢. It’s so hard saying goodbye to a furry friend. 💔
