I am waiting for a pump and CGM that’ll avoid the lows ( I never have the patience to wait 10-15 minutes) so I over compensate and spend the next couple of hours urging my pump to remedy the highs now!
Thanks for talking about lows in a real way. They so often are an “alone” thing while waiting for a number to go up so I don’t have to wake my spouse, “just in case”. Odd things cross my mind when I’m in that waiting mode, and I’m relieved to know I’m not the only one. There’s also the marshalling of extra tabs, juice, or if I’m lucky, some Peeps squirreled away for just such an occasion. I’ve discovered 3 Peeps raise my BG faster than tabs or juice. Just my little take on the situation. The lows are never anything other than scary.

A very good post, Kerri. I am glad you are ok now. I have an occasional low like that, even after 79 years of being type 1.

Such a well written and eloquent post Kerri! I just got 40 years of dealing with this…sorry you had that bad low!
